Dieter Nusbaum – Unfathomable Worlds of Imagery

The art of Dieter Nusbaum moves between figuration and abstraction, between realism and surrealism. His works resist clear classification and open pictorial spaces that appear both familiar and enigmatic. Within them, painting, drawing, and printmaking merge into a complex visual language that evokes associations and condenses emotion. Through experimental combinations of materials, Nusbaum creates multilayered compositions of great aesthetic presence. The mixed technique he has developed—merging screen printing, painting, and collage into a dense fabric of image and structure—makes each work a unique piece.
Every painting is both exploration and reflection, a balance between control and intuition, planning and spontaneous insight. Nusbaum’s works are narratives without words, nourished by personal fragments, symbols, and visual ciphers.
They refer both to the artist’s inner world and to universal themes of perception, memory, and emotion.

His guiding principle, “Art is conveyed emotion,” finds its most consistent expression in these unfathomable worlds of imagery.
